For a GoLogin proxy setup, open the All profiles page, click the + button in the profile's Location column, enter the IP, port, username and password, and click Connect. GoLogin checks the proxy right away.
Your Elusive proxy is SOCKS5 and comes as HOST:PORT:USER:PASS. Those four parts map straight onto GoLogin's fields.
This guide covers adding it, testing it and making sure the profile doesn't give away your real network.
Key takeaways
- Elusive proxies are SOCKS5 only. Check that the protocol GoLogin picked says SOCKS5, and change it if not.
- You can type the four values into fields or paste the whole string.
- GoLogin tests the proxy when you connect and shows green or red.
- Match timezone, language and geolocation to the proxy, then run a DNS and WebRTC check.
What you need
A GoLogin account and one Elusive proxy copied from the dashboard as HOST:PORT:USER:PASS.
For most account jobs, pick a sticky residential proxy: IPs of real home connections. Mobile proxies use 4G/5G carrier IPs. Hosting proxies are quick and cheap, with the lowest trust on consumer platforms. Which proxy for which job has the detail, and the live list is on the Elusive site.
A sticky proxy keeps its IP up to 24 hours. Since it runs on a real device, it can drop earlier.
Add the proxy to a GoLogin profile
These steps follow GoLogin's own help pages. Labels change between app versions, so look for the same fields if yours differs.
- Create a profile, or pick an existing one on the All profiles page.
- In the Location column of that profile, click the + button.
- In the window that opens, choose the option for your own proxy (the docs call it the computer icon).
- Enter IP, port, username and password in their fields.
- Look at the protocol. GoLogin picks one by itself, and you can change it. Set it to SOCKS5.
- Click Connect.
Another way: paste the whole proxy into the Location column with your system hotkeys or the Paste proxies button. GoLogin's docs list host:port:login:password as an accepted format, and describe a way to state the type in front of the proxy. Whichever way you paste, confirm the protocol afterwards. You can also open a profile's three-dot menu, then Settings, then Proxy, and pick Your proxy there.
To load many proxies at once, the Proxies page has an Import proxies option.
Check that it works
GoLogin tests the proxy as soon as you connect. A green indicator means it works, and a red one means it doesn't.
Then start the profile and open an IP-check page in it. The country should match what your dashboard shows. If the city differs a little, geo databases may simply disagree. See why sites show a different city.
Match timezone, language and geolocation
A profile should report the same place its IP comes from. A US proxy with a Berlin clock is the kind of mismatch that can make platforms ask you to verify a login.
GoLogin's profile settings have options that set timezone and geolocation from the proxy's IP, and a language setting. Names vary by version, so open the profile's settings and look for the timezone, geolocation and language entries. If you set them by hand, use the proxy's country or city.
The full walkthrough is in match timezone to proxy.
Leak checks
Run these inside the profile. Your normal browser tells you nothing about it.
- A DNS leak check: no servers from your own network should show up.
- A WebRTC leak test: only the proxy's IP should appear.
If the real IP shows, fix the profile's WebRTC setting and test again.
One profile per proxy
Give each account its own profile and proxy. A steady IP and location per account keeps logins consistent, so security checks don't see an account jump between countries.
Pick sticky residential or mobile for the job. When the proxy expires, replace it in that one profile. Don't swap proxies between accounts.
A proxy does not make anything against a platform's terms acceptable. Follow each platform's rules and use its own team tools where they exist.
Common errors
- Wrong protocol. HTTP selected with a SOCKS5 proxy gives a red result. Change the protocol to SOCKS5.
- Copy-paste spaces. An extra space or line break at either end of a pasted line breaks it. Paste again.
- Expired sticky proxy. The IP lasts up to 24 hours. A profile that worked yesterday may turn red today. Look at the proxy in the dashboard.
- Proxy offline. The device behind a proxy can be off or restarting. Retry later. If a new sticky proxy fails a live test in its first hour, it can be refunded to your balance. Our support on Telegram can help.
FAQ
Does GoLogin work with SOCKS5 proxies?
Yes. Choose SOCKS5 as the protocol and confirm it after you connect.
Can I paste HOST:PORT:USER:PASS in one go?
Yes. GoLogin's docs list host:port:login:password as an accepted format for pasting.
What does the red indicator mean?
GoLogin could not use the proxy. Check the protocol, the pasted text and whether the sticky IP is still alive.
Can I use one proxy in several profiles?
It's possible, but for accounts you keep, use a separate proxy per profile.
